On behalf of Surfachem, we are looking for a:

Business Development Manager – Region DACH
- Household, Industrial & Institutional Care (HI&I) -


What you will do...
Leading the business development strategic efforts to grow the company’s market share into the HI&I (Household, Industrial & Institutional Care) market in DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) region, measured by Gross Margin, Contribution Margin and Volume, as well as promoting and developing the product range and services to all current and prospective customers.


Day to day, you will take part in:
Strategic marketing

  • Scouting throughout all industrial verticals in the HI&I space and prioritize them.
  • Identifying new business opportunities via secondary then primary market research.
  • Apply VOC (Voice of Customer) and OVOC (Observational Voice of Customer). processes to uncover market and customer pains & needs, drive segmentation and build compelling value propositions.
  • Working with Senior Technical Development Manager to design and implement HI&I strategies structured around where to play and how to win.
  • Working with Senior Technical Development Manager to provide compelling business presentations to the sales team and internal/external stakeholders.
  • Analyzing customer and product portfolio to identify and prioritize actions (such as product/application matrixes, recover lost sales, etc.).
  • Supporting sales team in prioritizing and identifying current and prospective customers and customer leads.
  • Contributing to new concept developments and trend analysis.


KAM (Key Account Management) & Sales   

  • Ensuring customer intimacy at early adopters and focus customers by:
    • understanding and influencing customer strategic initiatives and innovation pipeline.
    • deeply connecting with key stakeholders from relevant functions (at least General Management/Business Management, marketing, R&D, purchasing).
    • communicating Surfachem’s vision and mission.
    • quantifying the value of Surfachem’s offering for customers.
    • controlling the entire sales process to convert opportunities in sustainable revenue.
  • Providing high quality meeting reports and accurately document opportunity pipeline. Ensuring rigorous follow up mechanisms to maintain momentum and convert initial customers.


What will you get in return...

  • A gross annual salary which depends on knowledge and skills, it amounts to a minimum of € 70,000 and a maximum of € 90,000, gross per year plus a Bonus of € 10.000,- gross per year.

What do you bring...

  • At least 5-10 years' work experience in the B2B industry in a relevant role such as Business Development / Strategic Marketing / Sales.
  • Fluent in German and English.
